Sophie Penkethman-Young (she/her) is an Australian artist and digital producer based on unceded Gadigal land (Sydney). Working at the intersection of art and technology, she explores how ideas and experiences translate digitally, questioning how humanness might be described or uploaded to the cloud. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Australian National University, 2013) and a Master of Art Curating (University of Sydney, 2020), with a special focus on digital museum culture and internet-based practice. Her work has been exhibited and performed across Australia and internationally, including as a live-streamed performance lecture In Progress: The Wait of Expectation (Liveworks, 2022).
