Artist Bio
Born in Oamaru, New Zealand, Raewyn Hill discovered dance at age six, funding her own ballet lessons at the age of 11 before training at the New Zealand School of Dance. She became a leading dance practitioner across stage and screen, choreographing for TV and film. Raewyn has held artistic directorships at Dancenorth and, since 2015, at Co3 Contemporary Dance, helping shape it into a national contemporary dance leader. Throughout her 30-year career, she has presented work internationally and collaborated with renowned architects and composers. Her award-winning works include THE ZONE, ARCHIVES OF HUMANITY and ARCHITECT OF THE INVISIBLE. In 2023, her career entered the National Archives of Australia.
