Artist Bio
The work of artist Byron Scullin explores the technological representation and amplification of sound, as well as its properties as a physical presence. His large-scale collaborative audio works such as Bass Bath, Siren Song, The Port’s Call and The Rivers Sing have been presented at major festivals internationally. Over the course of his 25-year career, Byron has worked on countless projects across many mediums – wherever sound and technology meet. Byron is also the co-founder of MESS, the Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio, a globally unique nonprofit organisation dedicated to electronic sound and music culture.
