This Case Study was part of the boorda yeyi 2026 Foundational Symposium, presented by Junior Major artist/technologists Sophie Penkethman-Young and Jarrod Lambert. These artists lead a session on expanding practices, learning new tools and working with data. Using their project Stable Confusion (Soft Centre, Sydney) built entirely on TouchDesigner as a case study, they walk participants through how data is collected (inputs) and how technology is used to shape the final work (outputs). They also discuss the process of conceptualising artwork and the importance of systems thinking.
